Hi all,

I can't remember how I tripped across this site, but it was somewhere in my web searching after taking the DSLR dive in getting a Pentax K110D off ebay. I've been a point and shoot shutterbug for a long time now and am now finally learning the real ins and outs of photography. I got Pentax because my Mom has a bunch of PK lenses from my Grandpa's 1985 Super Program. Now I don't have to go buy another $500 in lenses (never an option for me anyway).

Free bar? I'll take a Shirley Temple (I always get carded when I ask for that)!

WA? Where in WA? I'm down in Oregon at the moment, but still have lots of ties to WA.

When I die, if there is a drink named after me, I will be transcendent.

(It would be a delectable mix of bitters and sour lemon with a dash of Wild Turkey)

You'd think even knowing the name of that drink would preclude the need to card someone. I do have a bottle of grenadine in my kitchen, but no jar of maraschino cherries ... :-(

Smokey Point to be exact (they can't decide if it's Marysville or Arlington). Unfortunately the K110D is quite a few steps down from the K10D- sort of a beginners version :)

Welcome skyyak. I'll PM you with a couple of Pentax forums you may find useful for learning how to use you new (old) glass.
