It it normal for the Nikon coolpix 5700 to constantly be focusing causing the camera to vibrate a bit? I put it in manual mode and it stopped so i know that is what it is doing but find it a bit un-nerving. thanks bunches (this is for a friend that just bought one)

it's an option that can be turned off. it wastes a lot of battery life and is kind of pointless to focus when you're not taking pictures. The alternative is that is only focuses when the shutter is depressed or half-depressed (can you medicate for shutter depression?)

the manual is your best guide. It is under the focus menu. I reread the thing every month or so, to refresh my memory

Actually when I first got the camera I just asked Tracy (dacrazyrn above) stuff when I didn't know. So you should do that too :)

I gotcha! Just remember...it's all in the manual. Pedro can read, but only stuff in the forums not HIS manual. hehe (C:
Besides, look at his portfolio and then mine and you will learn who has mastered the 5700.
