We have a nice little workshop folder that we can hide images in that we are not quite done editing, or just not ready to display openly.I sometimes use mine to put images in that I am considering for an announced challenge while I make up my mind which one I want to enter. I just wish there was a feature where once I decide which one, I could just enter it into the challenge from where it sits instead of re-uploading it. Any chance we could have a enter into challenge button? Or even an option on the upload for challenge page where we could choose to either upload or choose image from workshop folder?

Great suggestion Linda... I've wondered about that many times as well.

yes being able to transfer or move an image from say the workshop to a challenge would be nice :)

glad to see I am not the only one. How about it Langdon?

I think that would be great. :)

Excellent suggestion Linda, I have wanted to do this for sometime now. I always try to look at a challenge entry before I enter it. I always put it into my workshop to see.

I was just thinking that today! It would be very handy.

I've had need of this feature in the past too, nice suggestion!

My first reaction here was to think "What's the big deal? Uploading is EASY!"

But then I realized that it's entirely possible some people would like the flexibility of being able to finalize their entry from a machine other than the one they do their editing on. Someone might be working at their job as deadline approaches, take one final peek at their workshop, close their eyes, pick an image, and transfer it to the challenge... Or something like that...

Good idea.

This may be a little off topic here, but I would like to know if there is an easy way to view the images in "workshop" at full size? I didn't want to start a new thread just for the question. I'm sure someone must know at shortcut if there is one.

I hope so! I hate having to try to remember what thread I posted it for and search that out if I want to see the shot again in full size.

And Linda, great suggestion :D

Click on the thumbnail in the workshop. On the page that comes up, click on 'View Photo Page' over on the left side of the screen.

eta: or click on the word "Original" under the thumbnail on the second page.

Back to the original topic, though. . . I agree that this would be a useful feature.

Ahhh, thanks. I'm SURE I've tried clicking "original" with no luck, but didn't even see "view photo page" over there. This is why I love this site :D

View photo page,
Thanks EBJones. I see that the same shortcut works with the portfolio page too. I have been opening my portfolio from my profile page so that I could view the images larger.
You made my day all better.
I also like the idea of a direct way to post a workshop image into a challenge submission.

Hoping this isn't a dumb question --- but is WORKSHOP where you would upload an image/print for DPCPRINTS before a challenge was over...? The limitation below (i.e., you need to upload again later) might make this not the best option. Would it be wiser to upload to another collection and click on HIDE COLLECTION?

You can upload a print image for a current entry if you access the image from your main Portfolio page rather than the challenge entry page -- the usual link to upload a printable file will be at the bottom. You can submit it for review and, if approved and activated (prices set) before the voting concludes, the print image will be available as soon as the challenge results are posted.
