Just use the second button from the right and enter the (currently) 6-digit number at the end of the image's URL (following ...IMAGE_ID=) into the dialog box which pops up.

Full moon = No shadow = No drama = No Texture. :)

Isaac used it to shoot this silhouette of a palm tree.

My wife and I went out on the 9th when it was at 95%. I wanted to try out a new lens and this was the result:

it was already too dark to get an decent shot, plus the moon was rising more southern of the point i predicted it to rise, so the scenery isn't as nice...

taken half an hour ago:

I wasn't aware of this biggest full moon until now, but I went out last night when the full moon appeared to be exactly overhead in the clear skies and about 60 deg F and I stood there looking at it amazed at how bright it was. I thought there was a discussion here last month about the moon being the largest it would be in something like 30 years, but we had mostly cloudy skies that night.

Has anyone tried photographing landscapes using just moon light? It works nicely, especially if you use tungsten white balance. The next couple of nights should be good for this type of shooting.

i did that a lot during the winter month of my stay in iceland. the moon was so bright there i've never seen that before anywhere else!

Those are good. Moonlight gives a totally different look to the landscape in the way shadows and highlights work. Long exposures, as the one with the flowing water are different looking at night too.

No compositing, but it will probably take a well-calibrated monitor to make out the detail way at the dark end of the scale ... I couldn't quite get to a position where I could get an unobstucted shot of the Moon right behind that tree on the ridgeline ... :-(
