I was playing around with the settings on my camera and now every time I take a picture, the shutter takes forever to reopen. This happens in every setting, including the Scene settings and Auto mode. I'm not sure what I did but I can't seem to figure out a way to fix it. Is there a reset button or something somewhere???

Please help me!!!

There should be a reset button to defaults in the menu but remember to check your date and time afterwards

At the end of all the settings, go to the reset default. That should help.

Its been a long while since I had an E-500 but it sounds as mirror-lock-up is on.

That sounds like you might have long-exposure Noise Reduction on, which should double your exposure time--check to see if that setting is on?

He might be right - I hope for ya. I just put the camera in AUTO mode and turned the ANTI-SHOCK setting to 8 secs. Go to MENU, select the camera2 (on the left), arrow right then scroll down and you will see the anti-shock feature.

Noise Reduction is set to OFF, as is Anti-Shock
