Well, considering I 'Normally' do darker photography and stuff, I wanted to get some opinions on some newer clean images.
Thanks in advance. I will return comment on your work (-;

really cool poses ... my only suggestion is to use a reflector to soften the shadow under the hat ... great work, you should try 'clean' more often ;) |

Thanks for the comments. To tell the truth the shadow was completely intentional for that image. I think it adds a bit of mystery. Afterall the cowboy hat is worn to shadow the eyes from the sun. L()L
Thanks again. (-;

Those look fantastic! I worked at a high-end senior photography studio for five years, those were the pictures that sold the best. The bright, upbeat ones. Our photographers always did a few dark, artsy ones, but the parents wouldn't buy them. So from a client perspective, those are absolutely amazing. I do love how you included the bright and upbeat with artsy too! Kudos! |

Fantastical or not, it sure is educational :) From the photo I would have guessed the light behind the backdrop on that blue silhouette one. :) Thank you SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOOOO much! |

My Pleasure. The reason for putting the light in front is to get that hot spot and the gradual falloff that darkens. I am sure it can be done from behind, but might need to use a higher setting to go through the backdrop. Also you need the extra room behind L()L. Its not on there but I am guessing about 6' from backdrop I had the blue gel light.
