Hey if any of you experts out there want to spread your wisdom of processing, i would be an excellent recipient:D i have this photo(shall post it in a moment) and i would love to know how to make it look dreamy. i dont know how else to explain it other then dreamy. so yeh, any advice would be coolio |

quick edit in iPhoto (edge blur and white oval matte)
Probably not the dreamy effect you had in mind, though :-) |

I used this... auto fx. On the first one I also used some topaz adjust.

Quick hit with XERO Moodlight...changed the light color to white and bumped up the haziness. Darling kitty!! (And thank you for my Christmas picture/card!)

duplicate image layer
layer one quick mask used brush on the eyes, inversed selection, gaussian blur. blended layers to mulitply. flatneed both layers. then some brightness/contrast, hue/sat |

I used Digital Film Tools 55mm v7.5, it has tons of effects. |

First inspiration: Wayne's World dream sequence. Deeleeoot, deeleeott!
I was more serious with my second attempt. I associate flowy white curtains with dreams, so I tried to bring those out along with the shadows in the room. I ended up getting a big white blob above the kitty's head, so then I smudged the background to death. I softened the whole image in Neat Image, and then dodged and burned to bring out highlights and the kitty's markings.
