Apparently I am nearing some sort of cosmic convergence as my Star goes down and my Bokeh ascends:
Stars - 5.5659
Bokeh - 5.5625
Both are a bit higher than my average average ;-)

Hmm....
I wasn't even going to bother to look or post for this Bokeh challenge when I was getting a 5.3 right out of the gate on what I know to be a passably good Bokeh shot.
After seeing these scores and listening here I see I'm actually doing quite well.
I did look through the entries and I agree that this hasn't been one of the better groups of offerings, mine definitely included.
Anywho.....same old, same old.....it seems to me that there is so much complaining and criticism about commenting any more that I'd be surprised if any newcomers would ever be comfortable about commenting on their first few challenges.
I liked someone's idea of adding an addendum stating ACW-All Comments Welcome.
I might have to start a thread......8>)

Hehehe "not a circle of light to be seen" was great! That Wood duck has a great bokeh! And i think i prefer that kind of bokeh than the other one Swamp Sparrow at sunset...Both are amazing though.
And i understood that circles of light are so unnecessary and my second lesson is that some bokeh photos can be ruined by a background with circles of light. :( |

I like this idea, at least until Langdon implements a way of indicating it when submitting a challenge entry, appending such short hand to your title will help the heavy commenters to know where their efforts are welcomed. It will initially confuse newcomers to the site, but I am sure most of them will quickly ask what the initials mean after seeing them a few times. |

While that is a cool shot I find the Bokeh to be quite boring, there is nothing there to draw you in(in the background I mean), its as if there was an orange paper hanging there, I think great bokeh would have had some detail there, some hint of structure to help draw you in. Just my 2 cents.
This shot on the other hand has an intrgiguing background which I would posit is a much more interesting Bokeh shot than the other.

It is wonderful no question. As to the subjective reason you find this superior, well, that is BoKeh too.

All pizza is non-returnable... We dont want any of your regurgitated comfort food thank you very much!! Mines risen from 4.6 something up to 5.2 and then slipped back again slightly... A few good comments though. Whats really annoying is that Ive got some great bokeh shots in my stock... Pity I couldnt use em...!

I finally climbed over 6 at 170 votes. So mine has gone up from 5.6. Others have seen their score rise lately as well. Higher votes seem to have come in last 24 hours.
I hope I can stay above 6 for the duration. It would be my third 6+ entry!
