There are always going to be strong opinions for the injustice of it all why picture X was allowed and picture Y was disqualified and how wrong the SC were to DQ / not DQ an image. I think if there were several examples the line may become a little clearer, though it is never going to be black and white.

I don't think there is anything on this already so I am willing to write a tutorial / guideline thing with lots of examples of images that have been disqualified and images that have been validated. Borderline DQ's are in nature borderline so there will always be opinions both ways but hopefully this would provide people with a good guide as to what has been validated and what hasn't.

I have one shot that I asked for a "pre" validation a while ago and was told it was ok, but it wasn't a unanimous decision by the SC. For this to work I'd need some more before and after shots so if people can send me them that would be great.

I will take a look at DQ's and try to get some originals from the photogs, but if the SC could provide me with some examples of some borderline cases that did get validated as they are obviously harder to find, or if the photogs of images that were validated but only just please can they contact me.

Obviously I am only interested in images under the current rule set

Cheers
Robert
