In October bvy started a street candid side challenge, which success led to a November challenge... I figure, why stop there? Lets keep this ongoing...post them when you got them!

All comments are welcome!

Yea, I'm up for that, probably only manage 1 or 2 a week though, but it's something I usually shy away from doing so I need the kick!

I'll post a few things but it's so freakin cold, there's almost nothing to shoot...people-wise. I tried getting out yesterday but walked but around the block twice got some Starbucks and ran back home. Let's see what happenes...

Iraklis good idea!

Didn't really post anything in November (rained/snowed everyday and it's dark all the time). Will be in London at the weekend so may get something then. Let's see. Good idea though.

oh c'mon iraklis, you only suggested this so you could post your awesome (i really think they are!) photojournalistic pictures of the riots...;) j/k
really hope things are turning better in your country! (although i kinda envy you for having the opportunity to be there to shoot these pictures. it was last year that i missed going to the G8 conference here in germany to photograph the riots and i could still kick my butt for not doing it).

Hehe...wanted to continue before it all happened, honest! Thanks Mephisto..

I work in the centre so all I really had to do is step outside. The post office down the road was burnt to a crisp... Thankfully things have died down and there are only isolated pockets of episodes... I remember the G8 in Germany, pretty intense. I have more shots, but these are all more photo-journalism rather than street photography as pointed out. Maybe I''l post them in a separate thread?

This is what I see as the primary goal of photography. Showing the viewer something they haven't seen before or showing us something we have seen but in a different way. I guess that's one of the problems I see in many images and a good deal of Street Photography, that they don't stimulate much thought in terms of interest or newness.

Not a Street image and not one of mine but well worth seeing.

I'll post a separate thread with more images or link to a flickr set of them.

Athens episodes

Above is a link to some photos I took of the episodes...what went on and still are. The events that transpired can be viewed from many different angles beyond the violence that was allowed to take place...there is a bigger picture to it and a lot of legitimate concerns and condemnations among much of the populace. Much are Greece specific and some more global in nature. This of course does not excuse the mass vandalism and looting....

Awesome shots, Iraklis, and really nice as presented in a slide show. (How do you do that on flickr?) Are you passing any of these shots on to any news services?

Thanks so much Melethia. No I didn't, maybe I should have tried though huh... I should hone my reflexes on such matters I think...

I created a set with those images and then you can click to a slide show presentation of them. This directs you to another address which I copied and pasted for you.

Dangit, Steve, quit pulling shots you've posted before I've had a chance to see them!! And thanks for the info, Iraklis! Should I ever get something worthy, I may try the slide show thing.
