I loved the grate control on the DOF(pun intended. I really thought the bokeh was strong in the image toward the background in keeping the interest forward into the detailed area. The Detail in the sharp area was nicely lit and had a good amount of detail to it. The silver/gold color combination was really eye catching for me and provided interest throughout the photo. I really liked the diagonals and patterns created by the teeth on the cheese grater, along with the angle in which this was shot, it gave the photo a good amount of Depth to it as well. |

The DOF is great in this image. I agree with Hot_Pixel that it really keeps your attention towards the front of the image. Additionally, I enjoyed the curvature in the image. Reading that its a cheese grater, I wouldnt think its curved, which is a nice effect. I didnt care for the lighting, which appeared a bit harsh for my taste. It came across that I was seeing more white from the light than I was metal from the grater. Nice image though. |
