I would like have some of both, if you don't mind. I'll take however many you want to send. :)

This thread creates miracles. I was so suprised last year with the overwhelming response of care and time people put into giving gifts. I have a personal space in my heart for those of you who filled some of my wishes.

No photography wishes though, i dont want to be greedy.

but I do want to participate in the card exchange though, has a thread been started?

I'd love a few tall ones if you have any left...PM me! :)

I hope to be able to fill a few wishes again this year. I think wishes for myself this year are to continue moving forward with my boys, keeping them healthy, safe, and happy, and a full-time maid. ;)

Anyone know where I can find a decent used double-bass pedal for my oldest boy's drum kit? He has what my nanny calls Neiman-Marcus taste, and I have a K-Mart pocketbook.

I have seven $5.00 gift cards to Starbucks. Anyone a coffee drinker? I'd love to send a gift card along with a Christmas card to some of you wonderful people here at DPC. I work with a company that sends a gift card with every order I receive.

I'd love some wonderful horse photographs or accessories. My youngest daughter Allie is crazy about horses and anything horse related would be great. I have fallen in love with many of the horse photographs I have seen on this site. Also, used horse shoes, or a brush, or any small items related to horses, would be a perfect gift for her.

Since I already filled someones wish.........although they dont know it.

I would like some more lightroom presets if someone has some they like, or the Scott Kelby book on Lightroom 2.

I'm working on filling a couple more on the list.

Don't you need seven $5 Starbucks cards just to buy a coffee? ;D
Just kidding! That's a pretty cool thing to give with a christmas card.

Even though I don't get anything for christmas. I would like:

AB lights
World of Warcraft 60 day cards (a few of them)
World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King Expansion
Rock Band

I'm such a teenager :P

I would love some presets for cs3 or lightroom or any backdrops or paper backdrops. My big wish from family is a battery grip for my camera. I have a remote shutter switch for the d80 if anyone wants one.

I'll start, in no particular reason or rational order:

Books with famous photographer's work

What photographers/styles are you interested in?

I love some of the classics like Richard Avedon and Annie Liebowitz (I do have a wonderful book by her already and they are quite expensive) but I love from the ridiculous to the sublime. I like to just sit and look at other people's work. I'm kind of partial to portraits and nature stuff, but heh, I am thrilled with it all. Black and white, color.... anything. Thanks for asking. :~)

Funny. It seems like everyday I sit around and think about what I need to buy next and now I can't really think of much. After sitting here about a hour or so, here are some neat things that would bring a warm holiday smile.

A month or two of training over at lnyda.com
I'd really like to try one of these out.
And one of these if anyone comes across them before I get up to NYC.
Of course, a print of one of your favorite images that you have taken.

I'll be watching all your lists...

Hmm...lets see, well, I'm definately getting a Speedlite 580EX II by the end of the year!

What I really, really want though is the new EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM. That will be on next years wish list!!!

I'd like a NAPP membership. The exchange rate is killing me, $99 is close on R1000 at the moment...

Anyone got a fisheye lens for a Nikon D40 kicking around?...

Something else I'd love to have the opportunity to do is get some shots of a friend of mine who is incredibly camera-shy, likely because he does have very rugged features (Neil Young comes to mind) and nobody has ever gotten a good photo of him before.

He even tells me that when he was a kid, his granny, who was best friends with legendary photographer Yousuf Karsh, took him to get Karsh to take his picture...and that Karsh failed to get a good shot of him. My response was that I'm not Karsh, I don't have a studio, don't use flashes or fancy light setups, that I'd be shooting him in as natural a setting as possible. Still can't get him to agree to it. Why are so many men allergic to cameras?

I already added this to the watched this, will hopefully be able to help someone out with something for the holidays! :)
A few things I wouldn't mind seeing for Christmas:
Crochet needles
yarn
A scarf, or gloves, etc... if there's anyone out there who knits or crochets! (I'll be busy making presents so I won't have time to make myself either of these) ;)
Postcards (I'll add my addy to the list on that thread)
A signed photo by any of the fabulous photographers on this site :)
Peace in the middle east & safety for our troops
For everyone to have a wonderful Christmas & holiday season :)

Sent a PM.

PS People don't feel shy or embarrassed to post your wish list, a bigger pool makes it easier for others to fulfill a wish.

LOL! Really you should inform your family that $350 on camera stuff is a miniscule dollar amount and is considered to be bargain pricing in some circles.

I wish they would just ship the damn 5D Mark II's already. This $2700 I have is burning a hole in my pocket.

hahaaa I have!! They think I should find a less expensive hobby. heeheehee!

I'm wavering -- the 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 would also do for the main purpose...but I would be minus portrait lens :(

Anyways enough of that -- am sending a few PM's but...college. Yes.
