Hang on...didn't I read a clause somewhere that Icelanders had to have a minimum of 10 ribbons to be able to enter?

well, that will help a bit, but there would still be larus, heida, brin, structor and arnit that comply with this creteria...lol
and i just did a quick check, there are at least 18 icelanders who have won 2 ribbons or more. that's kinda scary...

I'll be in but given that of my last 7 entries (inc 2 in voting) only one has been above my average I'm a little worried

Luckily, I'm pretty much out of work due to the recession, so I'll have lots of time to shoot for this one!
:-D

Unfortunately, I may not have enough money to eat, so I may starve to death before I see the reslults!
:-(

It just occurred to me that this challenge should result in what might be the highest scoring brown, at least since I've been here.

I was thinking the same thing. Most of the leaves have hit the ground already. I'll have to think long and hard for this one.

I'm still trying to get my head around the implication that winning 2 ribbons somehow makes one a "Master".

Sometimes the naming of things around here makes me laugh painfully.

I wonder how many people have won one and only one ribbon?

How about we ship those Icelanders to Antartica so they can shoot the Aurora Australis instead but then we leave them there. :P

Ooh, the clouds are taunting me today. Look at us. We look all defined and angry. Watch us tomorrow when you can shoot. We'll be all overcast and gray... :P

Wow. I'm torn between laughing at the idea I'm a Master (by fully 50%, no less!) and wondering what to shoot.

Hey Doc - you shoot gelatin and I'll shoot a waterfall.

You're on. I can shoot gelatin while still being on call! :)

This would be a great chance for both of you guys to shoot a new subject. May I suggest toe jam?

Not to rain on your parade Doc in a literal sense, but the forcast doesn't improve all freakin week. Not even a sun break, at least what KOMO is forcasting. There has to be a way to shoot in the gray. Hope the weather your way is favorable. Up here, at least the slugs are happy this week...

Good luck Jason

I am no master to say the least, but do you really think the suggested "Masters'Free Study ii" implies anything? Is laughable, and then painfully so? I see it as just a title to recognise the selected few who are lucky enough to have a special and exclusive extra challenge for November 2008.

What do you suggest the Challenge Title should be 'around here'?

Oh yeah! I got my invite! Look out, I'm up here in God's country (Indian River, MI) for the rest of the month!

I'd enter, but I don't want to ruin Yanko's shot at the brown. :-)

Hint: agar-agar is more structurally stable under hot lights.
