Hey Slippy, can I trade you a blue for 2 of your reds? You got so many you'd never miss a couple.

Let you light the match?? I don't think so.

My masters shot will be Simms and Saberi battling naked at sunrise wearing antlers in Richmond park... yep!

Thanks for the idea ..

I preferred my idea of fire and brimstone unless of course Judi is in the shot doing a naked happy dance or something.

ok, that's a whole lot more than i thought...
still think another masters challenge would be interesting. there'd be some awesome competition going on.

just posted this a couple of days ago somewhere...:D
pretty cool surprise to wake up to this morning!
now i wonder how many ACTIVE members there are who have won 2 or more ribbons...oh and how's that gonna work with the FSM, i mean there are probabaly a lot of people who will fall back a lot in rankings simply because they were not allowed to enter this month' FS?
11/01/2008 06:00:09 AM · #32
Christoph, it looks as though there is still a regular Member's monthly FS, so that shouldn't be a factor. I'm guessing the Masters types can enter both free studies this month - the regular and the invitational.

Hmm....

I clicked on the ruleset, and it said:Congratulations to all those who have received ribbons. Only those users who have placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in 2 or more challenges are able to participate in this challenge.

Okay, but how come if I have one red it says: Sorry, you will need to win 2 more ribbons to participate in this challenge.?

Yeah there is something wrong with the script. From reading previous posts of people who dont have a ribbon it has said 2 or 3 ribbons. Mine says the same as yours and i have one ribbon to my name. So i'm guessing it is 3 ribbons as the entrance fee?
11/01/2008 07:48:39 AM · #37
I am looking forward to entering this one...I doubt I will beat Alex, Mak and Marac....but I may be able to slain Snottynose and Yanko!

I have exactly two and I'm not seeing any message. I am one of the people in contention for the Brown in this one, and I haven't even taken a shot yet ;-)

That would ruin the symmetry of my profile page! ;-P

Don't stir it up yet. Let's keep this thread friendly for at least 24 hours. :) (you may not know the kerfuffle with the last one those many years ago)...

Of the 73,000 registered users on the site, I'd be willing to guess the # of 2+ ribbon winners is somewhere in the 250-350 range with many of those no longer participating.

455, actually.
3+ ribbons: 269 users,
4+ ribbons: 183 users,
5+ ribbons: 145 users

Funny when I clicked on the challenge it said "Yea........right....try entering some challenges first."
Script seems to be working pretty well.

Do you mean there are 269, 3 ribbon winners, 183 4 ribbon winners and 145 with 5 or more? Otherwise there are actually only 269 as the 4+ and 5+ would be included in the 3+ surely ?

Unless I am missing something obvious :)

beware fools you meet your true challenge when I enter this one.....Muahahaha!

The way I understood it, if the criteria was 5+ ribbons, 145 people were eligible. If it were 4+ ribbons, 183 were eligible, etc.

Does that make sense?

Cool, a challenge I can't enter as a paying member. Why don't we call it the Elitist challenge. There, I said it, sorry Doc.

Play nicely .

I think it is brilliant and I can not wait to see

Yes I think it makes sense, but I also think it means just 269 is the correct number not 455 as you would not need to add those figures together. The 5+ ribboners would be accounted for in both the 4+ and the 3+ totals.
