I received this the other day, totally cool, I looked at the times square web cam and it doesn't seem to focus on the Kodak board. Does it at some point during the day. Have any of you had any luck seeing your shots through the webcam?

Dear Paige,

I'm one of the editors for Kodak's Picture of the Day -- and I'm writing
to say CONGRATULATIONS!

"Joy" has been accepted for Picture of the Day and will appear
April 29, 2004 on the Home Page of kodak.com.

Be sure to tell your daughter, and keep submitting your pictures!

Best regards,

Marianna O'Brien

P.S.
If you have friends or family living in the New York City area, your picture
will also be displayed that day on the Kodak Times Square Gallery, located
at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel.

I never had any luck with the web-cam. I tried it many times.

So I decided to post about my POTD on DPReview (a much wider audience than here) the day before it was scheduled to go up. At the bottom of my post, I added something to the effect of "P.S. If anybody is going to be in Times Square and can capture the marquee for me, that would be great!". And on both occasions, I got very lucky... after a "bump" or two, somebody saw my request and went out of their way to photograph the Kodak marquee for me. (A different person each time, too.) It was very cool that complete strangers would do that for somebody they don't even know...

You can see the pictures I got here (note that only the top-right corner is digital; the rest is a static billboard.). The photogs also sent me the Canon RAW files.

Congrats on getting Kodak POTD! Hope you have as much luck as I did; my family and friends thought it was very cool to see "my name in lights". (Somebody who worked in Times Square could make a few $$$ offering the service to Kodak POTD winners!)

Yes it sure used to, I saw two of my POTD from the webcam it just takes a while 3 minutes or so to come up and then only stays for a short time (secs). I haven`t submitted to kodak for a while now so I don`t know if its still the same!

Hi all!

If they are any kind hearted New York photogs out there who will be in Times Square tomorrow (4/21/04), I have the POTD of my daughter Samantha that I created for the "After Dark" Challenge here.

I'd be grateful for an image snapped of it while it's up on the big board!

Thanks in advance.

is anyone live in New York City?

Hi everyone,
I just wondering does anyone live in New York City and can do me a favor to take a picture of my Kodak POTD on the Kodak Times Square Gallery in New York City in May 11, 2004? I would appreciate it enormously.
Thanks in advance,
Oksana
