Hello All...
I am a newbie to the site... and to photography... Always wanted to get into it, and with the help from a friend... I dove in a few months back... I have already entered a couple of the contests hoping to learn about and from my mistakes... I have greatfully received a few helpful comments... but am hoping for more... I wonder if some of you can look at one or more of my images, and give me your thoughts... pointers... helpful words to grow my skills?
here is a shot I took tonight I kinda like... there are some in my portfolio I am prouder of... but would appreciate anything anyone wants to tell me that might be helpful...

thanks in advance.

When I started photography a little over a year ago I found several online tutorials helpful and read a couple of books. A favorite online primer I'd recommend is Jodie Coston's ( jodiecoston) online course:
//www.morguefile.com/archive/classroom.php

I've found photography to be very addictive, so good luck to you with the photography and the insatiable hunger for gear.

DPC has some really good tutorials, just click on the "Learn" tab. There's a wealth of knowledge. Don't be afraid to ask questions in the forums either, you can get about any question answered and pretty quickly if I may add. You'll just love the DPC community.

Oh, and the insatiable hunger for gear is almost unquenchable. =)
