Here all this time I thought I was the photographer in the house.

My son Brandon has a small point and shoot I bought him several years ago. He takes photos when he can. Of things that interest him. He rides around town with his grandma once a week and takes photos all around town. Every few months he gets his 1GB card full and I download and put them on a disk for him. Tonight was one of those nights. As I browsed around them there were several that struck me as works of art. Makes me wonder if he is the talented one in the family and I'm just a guy who people pay because they don't know who really to ask to take photos for them. Anyway..............

I'd crop this last one to remove the door and leave just the green leaves and trees. But these are untouched just resized.

edit for spelling

I think he deserves some of these printed on a nice linen type paper and foamcore mounted, MattO. Possibly he needs a G10 as well ;-)

I bought him a G9 but it was too heavy for him to hold.

He is 11 1/2 and he is in a wheelchair because he has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

I normally dont get too excited about what I see because they are usually just typical snapshots, some in focus some not, but these caught my eye even as thumbnails.

Yep it sure is, although I dont think this photo has any parts that are sharp like the other one does. At least not any that were meant I'm sure. I asked him how he did it, he said did what..............

Kids gota love them. I bought my 4 yr old (3 at the time) one of the kid tough digital camera's because she always wanted to use mine, which i let her when i was holding it a few times, anyway some of the shots she got were like.. wow, how did she get that? too bad the clarity of the kid tough, SUCKS because I was not able to print any of them for her to save in "mommy's big huge bin of memories"

Thank you for all the families that benefit from the walk you do.

I'm sure I can print anything in house that his little camera can output(up to 13x19). I may see how big one of them will do and print it up and hang it next to one of mine in his room. I'm sure he would love it.

I bought my boy a Fisher Price Kid-Tough Digital. It's pretty rugged.

He's gotten pretty good at aiming the thing. Here he is with it:

It takes some really low quality images. I just format them and put them up on my site. It's very interesting to see things from his point of view (3ft from the ground). Makes me want get down on the ground with him and take some shots.

I've told this story before...but its a classic.

About seven years ago when I was working in a photo store our lab guy came out and showed us an 8x10 that he had just printed. My manager, who was a professional photographer and a brooks institute grad, looked at it and said. "Wow. That is fantastic." It was a low level shot of a field of flowers with a perfectly positioned mountain in the background. It was one of the finest shots we had seen, and we'd seen alot from that area as it is very popular with locals and tourists.

About an hour later a guy came in to pick it up. My manager was ringing him up. The customer pulled the image out of the envelope and was looking at it. My manager said- "You have a fantastic eye, thats a great shot." The guy smiled and said- "Yea, if I'd shot it." He shook his head and said. "My five year old shot this. Last year I bought him a cheap little camera because he always liked to tag along when I went shooting. We've got more of his stuff hanging in the house than mine."

God bless him! He is very creative and I have no business complaining about the small stuff. Keep up the good work and tell your son that he's an inspiration tu all.
