What is your longest title in a challenge and did you get any comments on the title? Do you think your long title affected the voting in a negative way?

Counting letters only (not spaces or punctuation) I have 2 titles with 42 letters.

....Place: 183 out of 433, score: 5.3469.....2 people liked the title, one person didn't understand the title

.....Place: 2 out of 120, score: 6.7203.....one person didn't like the title

This one... may be the longest title on a DPC entry?

Wunwun was one racehorse, Wuntoo was one too. Wunwun won one race one day and Wuntoo won one too.

it seemed a good idea at the time..

88 without spaces, 100 with...it pushed the site's limits (at least at the time).

One of my simplest titles (Duct Work) wasn't fully understood. Titles really don't need to make sense. Here's the photo, by the way...

Why would you put saran wrap over your lens and, if you did, Why would you enter it in a challenge?

Lol, this one; The Demise of Achoo- Ladybugs' Revenge

And I know the title had nothing to do with its bad score :)

IMO, long titles hurt mainly if they're needed to explain or excuse your photo, or if you try to show things that should really be in photographer's notes. I don't really think it's the length of the title as much as the content.

eta title... duhhh!

I'm usually a one word or number titlist - but for the Deja Vu III challenge I beefed up my title

'To ask the hard question is simple.... But the answer is hard and hard to remember.' W. H. Auden

The challenge was WHY - and I guess my entry eas somewhat title dependent...

Longest would be my recent entry in "numbers", and it might have carried without the title, which was was not my original idea, but a humorous line I recall hearing in the past:

"There are 10 kinds of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't"

I could have just called it "binary", but I really liked the humorous line.

Though Lovers be lost, Love shall not; And Death shall have no dominion.

The title is part of Dylan Thomas's poem which I thought fit very well with the literary composition that has the open pages where Romeo & Juliet die.

Ack! Forgot to add that the title is 59 characters long.
