I didn't give up the Pens. I am not a converted Tampa Bay Lightning fan, but I play fantasy hockey during the season and it really gives me a chance to see which teams have spirit and which are the most exciting to watch. Tampa Bay is both. C'mon, just 2 seasons ago they were a joke! I always remember making fun of the Lightning back when they were formed because they never could compete. I'm cheering for them as I cheered for the Minnesota Wild during last year playoffs. The difference is Tampa is not a longshot... I get behind a lot of teams during the season. For instance, I want San Jose to wipe the floor with the Avs. I'm predicting a SJ/Tampa Stanley Cup. hsteg - you got it right = ) outofreachdx.....well.. I rather hope Philly loses, its the East/West rivalry in PA = P

yeah, my fantasy team, toward the end of the season thrived on the Lightning. I had Leclavier (or how ever you spell it, well just call him vinny from now on) I had khabiboulan (or however you spell it) and Martin St. Louis... man that guy got me a lotta goals.

I missed my draft, and by my presets ended up with all my defensemen in the first rounds...so I had no offense other than St. Louis (granted I had Rob Blake and Nick Lidstrom).. managed to win though = )

My heart is with the Leafs but if I was to bet money on this, I would go with the Flyers.
The Leafs might be going golfing soon.. :(
I think it will decided in game 7 though. |

| Any way you look at it, with the six teams left, round 3 and the finals will be fantastic. The new blood showed last night in the OT. Detroit kept icing the puck. They were tired. And the more you play in your own zone, the worse off you'll be. My deep down favorite remains the Fliers as I'd love to see JR and Amonte skating around with the cup. They gave their all for Chicago and their sport. |
