Looking at my scores i figured it would be an intersting thing to calculate the difference between the scores of your highest and lowest scoring image.
my lowest score: 1.88+
my highest score: 7.71+
Difference: 5.8384
What's your "Difference Score"?

Ha! I've seen your 1.88 picture. That whole debacle may be the funniest thing I've seen on DPC. Just read through those comments! I think it's the lowest scoring photo here too, so that, along with your ribbon, will make your "difference" score pretty tough to beat. You win the DPC Polarity Prize (icon anyone?).

Second lowest score of all time. He probably has a better shot of reaching the 8 barrier 3 times in a row then score lower than that 1.88.

An intentional brownie attempt. Beaten out for the bottom spot by  CharlieBaker I could have gotten it, except some people high voted it for making a good point with a lousy photo.
A spread of 3.2754.

| I don't have that many challenges behind me yet, but it seems I'm not that versatile, with range of 0.74310... How boring is that! :) |

mmh i still got the highest "difference score". now the question is: do i win or do i lose? bwahaha
anyways it's kinda interesting to see how some of you score like quite consistently and some (including myself) have bigger differences from one challenge to another.
isn't there a site (dpc mods?) where you can see a graph or something showing the pregression of your scores throughout the challenges?
side note: remember this site is not just about scores and numbers but also about the ART of photography! ;)

Was it slack? It would be hard to say for sure.
In the meantime, I'm interested to know the differences between others' scores. I know my low one was my very first entry, and DPC sure made me a better photog. It might take a long time to get there, but I still might hit an 8 or so that would get me above Mephisto's differential. You never know! |
