Hello,

I have a D70. If I go to the 90, will my lens' work on the new cmos DX?

Will my SB800 Flash work?

What about my battery from the D70?

I can't seem to find these answers anywhere.

Yes the lenses will work.
Yes the SB800 will work
The battery might work - as long as you have the batteries with the three silver contract stripes on the bottom

The D90 is a crop camera just like all the other D70-D300 series.

I went to the B&H website and it had all the specifications.
D90 at B&H

This Cmos sensor is it bigger/better than the one in my D70?

Same physical size but 12mp and MUCH better. Much less noise at high ISO, more dynamic range and better color.

I went from the D70 to the D300 and I love everything about it. Does the D90 have the same screen as the D300? I hope so because the D300 screen is fantastic. You won't regret the upgrade.

Just checked you profile, you have some really good stuff. Love the sunset.

I'm about to do my first photo shoot and Flash web design for a friend who has a New Orleans "horse and buggy" company. He has been in business for some time but has no web site.

The job will more than pay for the D90. I'd really like to have it for the shoot with my D70 as the backup.
