then I take the pic...

Now, I come home and plug my camera into my computer... What am I allowed to do (besides Unsharpen Mask?)

Can I work with the RAW file??? can I adjust the exposure of the raw file??

OR do I have to take the JPEG right out of the camera and live with it the way it comes???

Hehe -- you're not allowed to use unsharpen mask -- you're only allowed to use "SHARPEN" unsharpen mask will get you dq'ed
no raw file nope nope nope :-)
jpg right out of camera right the way it comes! *bingo!* ~gives you a special pat on the head~ :-D :-) hehe ;)

what is NOT DEFINED is a LONGER THAN NORMAL EXPOSURE ;) ;-D

now that...you can all argue over and debate on *hehe* :-D *troublemaker that I am I had to point that out huh?* :-D

after all... everyone has a different idea of what is a long exposure I'm sure ;) :-P so...a longer than normal exposure would be what a second longer? a fraction of a second longer? a full min longer? an hour? *hehe* bulb settings where we just count the seconds? hmmm....

All of your questions can be answered by reading the minimal editing rules.

Ohhhh don't confuse the issue....we already have the nudie police, too artistic police, too abstract police, too processed police, not processed enough police, too many challenges police, not enough challenges police....do we really need a Thursday Challenge police squad too?????

There is enough bitching on this site...let whatever happens happen...and let's just get on with it.

I swear....this feels like a damn preschool playground sometimes....squabbling over each others milk and cookies!

It happens every time the site starts a one time, extra member challenge on a Thursday.

Just to clarify from another thread....sharpening can only be applied once in Minimal Editing.

Actually, scalvert was mistaken. It is multiple resize that is not allowed. The minimal rules do not state that multiple resharpens cannot occur.

Scalvert edited his answer. It seems logical that the rules intend for only one sharpen, but this is not specified. Maybe we'll get a definite answer, but this seems like a gray area.
