Hello!!!! I am now serving beer and brats if anyone is interested!!!

Right from what I can understand, I belive the new games are starting September 16th.

Tim was right about everyone trying their best to get into every week to higher the score. I PROMISE not to get suspended this time for the wrong date on my camera!!

I also notice that a lot of the teams have a Flicker account that they post their photos on to, should we do this also, would it make it easier than flying emails???

Please throw out any ideas that you may have!

I got this thread into my watched list, so I won't miss any free beer.
You know,I'm Bavarian. In Bavaria beer is not a beverage, it's its own FOOD GROUP !!!
Prost

Excellent idea, Juliet!!

The avid consumption of beer should make our submissions even better. Can't wait for it to start!

My personal preference is Beck's, since it is brewed in my hometown of Bremen :)

Just to clarify my past statement form this morning:
I'm not demanding or suggesting that everybody submits to all entries. I know that we all balance work, family, life & DPC. I just found the statement made by the polish team member to be very to the point - the more entries submitted the better chances to get top scores.

It would be great if we can devise a system to insure that we have at least 5 entries or what ever the minimum is going to be. Maybe by Saturday we get a roll call to see who is submitting and if we run low somebody of the none participants can be convinced enter after all. (We got killed on the avg score at week 5)

PLEASE again, I'm not finger pointing. The past is a learning experience, I'm just trying to see how we can do better as a team moving forward.

Let the fun begin.

I have also been taking a break until we are ready to go for round three.

Is anybody designing the shirts? I'm not a photoshop artist, but can we go for a little bit more modern look this time?

Flicker is fine with me - I'll figure it out by then.

There is nothing better than a good cold beer after cutting the lawn, I always say. I know in Germany they don't drink it cold, but I thought I would try to be active in this thread as a new member.

Although I have the lowest average among us (5.0117), I am pretty excited about being part of this. My Occupations entry pushed me into 5 range and I have learned a lot from my friends here at DPC. I have a Flickr account as suggested and will post the address when I see them being added.

Another idea might be to GTG in Yahoo IM. When chatting individually, you can share photos and the conference option is cool too if a bunch of are on. I am Got2Teach

Something like this?

And btw: beer has to be cold in Germany.
It's the guys on that island in the middle of the North Sea that drink their beer at room temperature :)

Wow. Thanks for including me again. I'll try to make up for last round - turns out I can drop one of my classes so that frees up about 15 hours a week.

congrats to Heini on his ribbon! I knew there was no way it wouldn't get one.

I like it, Heini. Are you making the jerseys and do you need our numbers?

If yes - I want to be 3.

Very cool. Thank you for the quick effort.

Warm beer is disgusting and an "american" myth of germans:

Bier Temperatur
Leichtbier (Light beer)6°C (42.8F)
Pils (pilsener) 7 - 9°C
Lager/Märzenbier 8 - 9°C
Bockbier (Strong)10°C (50F)
Doppelbock (VeryStrong)10 - 12°C
Weizenbier (Wheat)8°C (46.4F)

Chilled not frozen would be the proper thought - so that there is a flavor to the beer.

I was once in a fine dining establishment here in the ATL with my dad who was in from Germany. When they brought out a near frozen beer he asked if they had some that where not as chilled and they said no, but would gladly put one in the microwave for him...

Edit: Room temperature on that island is probably around 49F year round :)

I'm not sure about the flickr thing - is there a way to mark a photo there so it can only be seen by select few? Otherwise, anyone else can see them, too, which probably isn't good.

I personally like your first design better, but if they want us to comply to the "Yanko" design or the rest of this team finds the newer design better, then I would say OK, majority rule :) Which one do you like Hein?

edit: Dam spelling again
