does anyone else think it possible for cannon to release a new addition of the flawed mark III? such as a Mark IIIN? or just a Mark IV? just searched for it but you never can trust rumors now n days.

You've been reading the wrong pages ;)
The " flaw " was fixed 9months ago. Any Mark III released since Jan 2008 ( maybe even earlier? ) is fixed of the minor AF bug. Have been snapping away with mine in almost every condition imaginable and the AI servo has been spot on. Canon realised their mistake and they fixed it ;)
As for the 5D Mark II, I'm as suprised as you are that it hasnt surfaced yet. They've released 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, 1000D and many other digital rebel replacements too.
My only guess could be that in all this time, the 5D can still hold it's own in the full frame market ?

I love my 1D Mark III. It's absolutely the best camera I've ever owned.

I love my 5D, too... but feel it's getting a little old and long in the tooth. I'd love to upgrade it, preferably to a body that has many of the same features as the 1D Mark III but hopefully without the price tag of the 1Ds Mark III.

Got my fingers crossed for Photokina!
