12th place out of 300+... I'm really stoked with that finish!! I really had fun with this challenge, and would never have entered it if it weren't for the DPC Olympics. Imagine that! lol
A couple of outtakes that I also really liked...

I think I should have gone with this one. Frankly I thought it was too abstract. |

I actually entered this:
After shooting hundreds of wonky ideas (beer didn't help like I thought it would)...
Then I saw pulled my entry on the last day and took the road less traveled.
Congrats to the winners and all the entries - abstracts are clearly not as easy as they look. :) |

Busy packing and getting ready for vacation and didn't submit. Of my choices this was my personal favorite, but probably the weakest with respect to impact. |

After the Fallen challenge, I had all of these stupid feathers that were white, and I really needed a shot for the BTAST, so I came up with:
The entry, which did it's job by getting me into week 6:
These are the individual strands of a single feather as they start to fray a little.
It's a macro, but I don't think it really comes across as one.

How much worse could this one have done? I entered the one that I had a heart connection to!
There were some fabulous images in this challenge, although looking at the thread, there appeared to be a lot of low scores. I think I gave scores at an average just a smidge under 6.0.... and added a couple of favs...and I don't do that often! I really enjoyed looking at some beautiful images. Well done guys!

What I was going to enter:
What I did enter:
I think I maybe should have gone with the first one and was thinking this right up to the last minute, mistake or not? |

Oh isn't it just haha! the thing is I actually thought that the gritty look of the one I entered would gain more interest than the Cactus image... Grrr
Ah well upwards and onwards. |

My outtake, What I went to shoot but I couldn't get past the sign in the center of the shot or the black blobs around the upper railing.
