I've made these shots of the so called Little Tulip chair. It's an Artifort chair we produce.
First I made a photo of this silk tulip (no real tulips this time of year)and then I projected that on the chair.
I needed to hold the beamer up myself sideways because I wanted the projection to be straight across the leg of the chair (and in portrait). I couldn't use any flashlights because then the projected image would dissappear in the light and not show at all. So I used very long exposure, selftimer and held the beamer in the right place. But I'm not sure about the results. The trouble was the really hard shadow, after a few different distances and positions I decided to make use of the shadow instead of trying to get rid of it. I wanted to do something that could be used for maybe an article or something about the chair (for example that is)
I find they have some retro thing going and I prefer the black and white one (#2) without the foot. But that one is not representable as a chair. If you don't know it, you don't even see a chair in it I guess.
So tell me what you think :)

OMG, a set of 4 "little tulip" chairs costs the same as a Canon 1Ds, brand new and in the box — you produce some seriously expensive bar stools!
Anyway, I like the third picture best. |
