I used to use Pixsort 1.3 which would let me sort pictures by pressing the 1 to 5 keys. Nice simple easy. New computer runs vista and my version of Pixsort doesn't like Vista. Anyone have any recommendations? I take a lot of pictures at a given time. I have been known to fill a 32GB chip with jpg. I know there is software out there but would really appreciate knowing what people know and like. I am looking for simple. Pixsort showed an image, then selected the folder with one key click and automatically moved to the next image. Please I know there must be someone who knows of and loves a piece of software and is willing to recommend one. |

I do this two different ways:
1) I use Adobe Lightroom to sort through the raw images before anything is ever processed (you can hit the numbers 1 through 5 to rate each). This tells me which images I should spend more time processing and exporting to jpeg.
2) I use ACDSee to look at my jpegs. It, too, has the ability to rate images (CTRL-1 through CTRL-5). I'll often use this approach to further refine which images I want to post separately.
This works well for me because I'm serving two distinct needs. One is to get images to the customer. Lightroom helps me quickly decide which images I want to deliver to the customer. Later I want to highlight only a few of those images and ACDSee allows me to pick out a subset of the customer's images.
