I'm both elated and saddened to tell you I will not be able to make it to your get together this weekend as we will be filming this weekend and for many days to come. I hope I can make it for your October GTG please keep me in mind and I will try to keep my eyes open for the post.

Try to have fun without me, if you can.

Susan mentioned getting together in October as well for those who couldn't make it to this one. It's back a little ways but it's in there.

I may be able to go to that one. I've been wanting to go back to the Aviation Museum for a while now, I just may include that when at the GTG. I'll make it a weekend stay. I'll see when it's announced.

Cool beans, I just found out that we might be filming around the Ottawa and Montreal area in October or maybe after the new year so we'll have to get together then as well if we can :)

Sure, I'd love to. PM me when you know what dates you'll be around. What is it that you film? Movies? Documentaries? News?

Television, movies, commercials, documentaries, educational programing you name it, we even do voice over work for all media including TV, radio, movies, commercials, and cartoons, but for this one, our youngest, Isaac has a lead roll in a new educational television series geared toward 8-11 year old children and we start filming in Toronto and according to the schedule places like Montreal, Ottawa, Alberta, are named as shoot locations as well as other places all over the world :)

Sadly :) I have to go with him on this, we're shooting two seasons with an option for three more. It's been sold to the US and Australia and of course Canada.

So I'll be posting for a chance to meet people where ever we go if time allows with the shoot schedule. The only part that sucks about it I will be out of the business myself during all the filming for Isaac. Oh well I'll just have to fill my time taking photographs.

This will be a great time for our youngest and should really boost his career, it's what he wants so that's good enough for us.

Hope all is well with you and yours.

Enjoy the get together tomorrow, we will be in wardrobe for Isaac and I will be in a haze wishing I was there with you guys.

Wow, you are one busy man, Max! How on earth do you manage such a crazy schedule? But so glad that you obviously love what you do, and congrats to Isaac.

Be great to see you when you do get to coming around here next!

Well, raining a lot out here in the sticks, hopefully these remnants of Gustav will be on their merry way. Again, wouldn't hurt to bring rain gear.

You must be a mind reader, Leenie! I was just wondering if I should fire off a pm to you but now I don't have to, yay!

OK, final details:

Billings Estate Museum at 2100 Cabot St, meet in the parking lot at 10:30 am.
Admission to the house is $4.50 (adults) and yes we can shoot indoors but no flashes, please.
Weather's meant to be 20 degrees, sunny with cloudy periods, so we should get good light throughout the day.

I may be running a couple minutes late as I have to drop by a friend's place for 10, but shouldn't be too late. I guess head up towards the grounds in front of the house. There's also an old icehouse and a caretaker's house on the property, too. The house is amazing, and the front and back are exact replicas of each other.

Look forward to seeing you all there!

Hey you folks, I'll be there with your in spirit, like it or not, hehe. I went to university in Ottawa and, as I told Snaffles, had my first date with my wife skating on the canal. I have so many wonderful memories of Ottawa, I love it there, what a great place, I envy you all. Have a super GTG!

Yes, Thanks Slippy :), too bad you can't make it. Should try to head back up for the Winterlude festival to bring back all those memories (and get some great shots) :)

Looking forward but have a huge favor.

Last night I popped open Leenie's XT and there is sensor smear
If any one has a wet cleaning kit that we could buy/borrow that would be amazing!

Im probably to late to catch anyone and will probably hit Henry's some point after the shoot and just give her my 300D

Blarg! I had a client call this morning and tell me they broke their website (read: deleted the sql database) so looks like I'm missing the get together! =(

I'm definitely in for the October meet though!

Sorry you weren't able to attend, Kurtis, but the October gtg won't be too far off!

It was really great to meet everyone, whether for the first time or second. I think we all got lots of shots, I know I'll be spending my spare time going through pix and choosing the best to post! :-)

Well, it was great to see everyone. I managed to get a few good shots, and maybe even got my "shallow DoF" entry, too (not one of these, so don't worry). Here are some of mine.

Hoping to see everyone again at the October GTG.
