I'm helping my cousin get into photography, she lives in Olympia.

She wants to make poster size prints and have them framed, but her local listings are sad.

Anyone with a personal recommendation? I'd appreciate the tip, and will tell the shop they owe you big!

Thanks,

Elco Color Labs is not local. However the quality is amazing, and assuming she will order 2 20X30(poster size) at any one time(dont have to be the same print just two of that size) they always run a $9.95 each special. I have all of my sports posters for customers done there. Turn around time and quality is amazing. Its done on photo paper not the cheaper crap used by some labs. I love them and recommend them whenever asked by other photogs in my area. The profits from selling them are amazing and my customers rave about the quatlity.(of course that could just be because I'm so amazing!) ROFL

Then framing is as easy as a local frame shop or Michaels and mount it yourself.

I can't help with the printing. For that size, I bought a printer and am learning print things myself. For framing, however, she'll save a *lot* of money doing it herself. This book had everything I needed to know as a beginner. I saved the $70 that I spent on the mat cutter (Logan 4000 + Logan adapt-a-rule) the first week I had it, and the results I'm getting are as good as what I was getting locally.
