Hey guys! Just wanted to thank everyone for participating in the challenge. I really enjoyed it. Really awesome stuff, keep it up!

I've done a horrible job. I think I posted 4 whole days!

I forgot that September was the end of the quarter at my work, which means TONS of overtime. I barely had time to make any comments. There were some great photos in this side challenge. Congrats to those who were able to finish it out. I enjoyed lurking!

I'll finish off the month with an archive picture of my present car,
the 2003 Prius. It's over five years old now, and with 86,000 miles
on it, still fun to drive and a real keeper.

this has been a fun side challenge and I've enjoyed meeting new
people and greeting old friends. I guess that goes for the cars
and other vehicles I've seen in the past month as well.

Thank you all for the helpful comments; you know they've been appreciated.
Many thanks to jan_vdw for organizing this side-challenge
and I hope we get to play in another challenge one of these days.

Well according to my calendar and clock September is over. But because of a big time zone difference I can still get in here. It has been fun and I have enjoyed looking at everyone's wonderful entries. I will finish with an appropriate ending, titled 'End of the line.'

I was returning to my car with my load of groceries when I saw a wind propelled runaway trolley careering across the carpark. I thought oh no, that is going to hit someone's car. Then I thought OH NO! THAT IS GOING TO HIT MY CAR. And it did. there wasn't a thing I could do to prevent it.

Day 30: Macro next month, so this is a sort of cross-over shot

I have no idea what sort of a car this is. I saw it in Port Fairy when we were on a break there, and thought it looked good.

I've had a bad time of it lately so haven't been posting/commenting. Here's one I was contemplating for the Free Study that I decided prolly wasn't good enough anyway, so...

Hey, DryDoc, Yeah, Studebaker.
My Aunt used to drive one of these.
I think it had a spinner on the front?
Um, I think it did.

I did get back to that old Ford truck and at a different time of day.
Unfortunately, it's parked between other cars, and has a difficult
backdrop. Still, there were some detail shots to get; this is one of them.
I just HAD to give it the full HDR treatment.

When I was 23, I had a chance to own one of these. But what guy of 23, in his right mind, would be caught dead with a Studebaker? Now, I wish this were mine!

sfalice - that link was great! Lots to take in and it goes by pretty fast...
These were shot back in April, but thought them to be worthy of posting. A co-worker's Harley Davidson Deluxe.

Well, here's one for the ages.

Someone just sent me a link celebrating cars of the fifties and sixties.

I watched the whole thing, entranced. Here is the link. Fun stuff.

We've been seeing lots of classic cars this month, and many of them are
collected in this presentation.

ETA: They talk some about hot rod races. We used to say they started hot rod races when
the starter would yell: "Okay, boys, wind 'em up."
Sports car races, on the other hand, would start with "Gentlemen, start your engines."

I'm so far behind, so here is a Renault festival to just about catch up.
These were all taken at the Renault F1 road show in South Africa last year.
