Hey guys!

I want to make a photo wall in my house (photo wall meaning a wall covered by photos not in frames). I think it will be a cool project and something to force me to get some of those photos off of my computer and into print. I want a way to do this without damaging the photos or the wall. One thing that I have heard of is painting magnetic paint on the wall (the paint is black, but you can paint over it with regular paint), then sticking the photos to the wall with magnets. It seems like there should be some type of material that photos stick to without magnets, but I can't seem to find anything.

Has anyone else ever tried this or seen it done?

The question that strikes me is "is the paint's magnetism really strong enough?" I guess if it's just holding up paper, it ought to be OK, but I've never seen this idea in action before. Good luck. Post some pix of your results when you're done.

why not use wallhogs.com and you can peal/stick photos to the wall several times. can get several sizes from small to very large, etc.... seems like an affordable way to do what you are looking to do.

My aunt has used the magnetic paint and she says that it works fine for photos.

I thought about the Wall Hogs, but it's too expensive, especially since I want to eventually cover the entire wall. Also, I would like to be able to use the prints after I take them off of the wall.

Seems like a good idea. Maybe a good project for our new craft room for the girls.

Cool! Here's some magnetic paper. Kinda pricey, but ...
