Any bird know-it-alls around ?

My kids and I saw this sweet little fledgling the other day.
I've got a feeling it's a sparrow (since we have lots of them around), but I don't know.

The yellow on the wing tips is throwing me off.

Any ideas ?

The yellow tips make me think Waxwing. Either Bohemian or Cedar.

I agree with kroo, and as Bear_Music stated, depending on where you are in Canada. If you are in the WESTERN third of Canada, chances are it could be either. Anywhere else, and it is most likely a Cedar Waxwing.

Iím 99.9% sure itís an ostrich. Have you tried riding it? I hear you can ride them.

I'll be the other 00.1% Yeah and that ostrich is prime riding height!

I found a shot on Flickr that's very similar to yours. I think the Cedar Waxwing identity is correct. Definitely a teeny tiny baby.

Yeah, sorry - that would help wouldn't it.

I'm just outside of Toronto, Ontario.

Then I'd put my money on the cedar Waxwing, though it's sometimes hard to tell with really tiny babies...
