I'm not on the official list, but I'll throw one in every once in a while and try to do some commenting as well. Here's day 1.

To answer several coments about these ... they are "flowering" because there are completely separate male and female trees, and these male flowers will produce pollen for the bees to collect, but (ironically?) no nuts -- that's why they can be used for street landscaping. From Wikipedia:

"The pistachio (Pistacia vera L., Anacardiaceae; sometimes placed in Pistaciaceae) is a small tree up to 10 meters (30 ft.) tall, native to mountainous regions of Iran, Turkmenistan and western Afghanistan. It has deciduous pinnate leaves 10–20 centimeters (4-8 in.) long.

The plants are dioecious, with separate male and female trees. The flowers are apetalous and unisexual, and borne in panicles."

In the meantime, I have a huge Privet bush (tree!) in front, which has been creating drifts of fallen blossoms like off-white snow, so I went out this morning to shoot more bees feeding before they're all gone. Also, the house next door is for sale, and has been landscaped for maximum attractiveness, with about 40 kinds of plants in bloom right now -- I think I got a week's worth of postings this morning alone ... ;-)

Notice the single tiny bloom in free-fall above and to the right of the bee! Too subtle for this upcoming challenge though ... :-(

Here's one which looked good with minimal editing, as I only just got back! Taken at the Motorshow today

Day 2 - Original 'Twirl' original

Same flower, but then processed with 'Radial Blur' added in photoshop.

Day 2 - Twirl Blur

I will be looking at turning a few of my 'flower' images into abstracts, similar to this one. Just a few. I will always post the Original along with the Floral Abstract and how I achieved this.

I decided that my other full version of the orange hibiscus, was so similar to the original Day 1, that I have coupled them together, and now they are both Day 1

I was off on family fun time today, so this is sort of an 'obligatory' shot.

Nevertheless, here it is.

I missed yesterday... so I'll throw in two to make up for it. Took these indoors, not a lot of lighting.. experimental editing techniques.. but I figure thats what this is all about, experimenting and just shooting.. so here goes:
