Do you admire them on the computer only or do you print them out and put a scrapbook together? I have never printed out any "art" of my own but I am really starting to want to create an actual paper portfolio like a coffee table book...I want to get more serious about photography and putting something together that represents who I am and how I see things.

ETA: the overlay thread really inspires me to see beauty in ordinary things

I live in my images. No kidding. I work from home and my photography surrounds me 24/7. Mind you these images change around and swap out for new ones often......

Large prints can be as cheap as $15 for a 20X30. A bit of mounting and a frame and you have art... its a great way to show off what you do.

Most of mine sit around on the hard drive till they get lost, or I get a new computer.

I always intend to someday at least organise them and move them to a CD or DVD.

I have printed a few. But most of my work is something that I don't want to look at everyday. My wife feels differently, but she doesn't know how to print them out or send them off over the internet.

Really? Challenge entries I don't care about but stuff I shoot for myself makes me feel satisfied when I really love it.

I put them on a CD and stick them in a CD case, where they are forgotten forever(which I intend to back up in about 5 years.. howlong do CDs last anyways?)

I have rims of DVDs from years years ago. There is no way I can handle all that pictures or print... If I need something, I dash the DVD stack, and search for the image, but other than that, I only keep new photos in my computer, not much printed just a very few for samples...

...and I don't know why? I should have a few books at least. I actually have a few but very small and printed very crappy with my little dingy printer, not professional. Right now only good photos I have are in my studio, on the walls :)

I have a sample wedding book (which I now hate because my newer weddings are much nicer so I want a new one), a seniors book, and a general book which is fairly baby heavy. These can be as cheap as $20 each or as much as a few hundred. The less expensive ones I drop off with networking contacts. The nicer ones are here and clients touch them all the time. ACIlab.com. :D

I do screen grabs of my work that make it to the web for my portfolio and I have a smugmug account that I've managed to upload a great deal of my work to in addition to multiple hard drives kept in different locations for worse case scenarios. I imagine within 5 years I will have a few large LCD monitors hanging on my walls showcasing my work.

It's something I stuggle with.

I try to put a large portion of my images on Flickr for my friends and family

I have a digital photo frame on my desk at work and once a month I will upload new photos to it (I keep adding to it, not replacing the old ones)

I have been going to a lot of photography meetups so I printed about 20 of my photos and put them in a book to share. It's worked out well and has encouraged me to print more

I put a few hundred photos on my iPhone so I can share with friends

I do find that my tastes on the images now change. When I first started I would get excited when I would see one of my photos, now I find I'm getting kind of tired of them.

oh ah ha. all of mine from my entire 5500 mile road trip got lost a few days ago when my hard drive died. i laugh at myself... the rest of them are either in my physical portfolio(the special ones) or on my desktop computer

I like it!! I print photos every now and then, but I'm thinking about making a photography wall in my house. A friend of mine did this with a bunch of 4x6 photos. She just stapled them to her wall until photos covered it entirely. I'm thinking stapling directly to the wall probably isn't the best option for the resale value of the house, so I'll have to come up with another option.

Here are some of my pictures in the store, but that's about it :/ There are four little books on the shelf, and a big folder in the back... crappy photos, I don't even show them to people too often. I will make nice portfolios soon though.

Mine all reside on my hard drive(s), never to see the light of day, or paper for that matter. No idea why I keep shooting, actually.

I try to put them in my book but I'm falling way behind. I need to take a week off just to print =(
