1 Whole year away is a very long time, anything can (and usually does) happen BUT!!!! I REALLY want to do the Iceland thing as does Hanae AND I always miss out on the Germany ones too so I have to make a real positive effort to do this. I have a year to save. Pencil Hanae & MAK down for this baby. I just wanna meet you guys and see Larus in a dress.

Well the timing is perfect for me as I will just have finished my teaching contract in China, money is the only issue. We'll see what I can save, I really want to go! I'll even sleep under the stars if I have to :)

Oh I'd so love to! But, what's the chance of being able to for a poor college student?

Checked prices -- $1570US round-trip from JFK

ETA: Three days really would be extremely short.

I'd love to go, I have always wanted to visit Iceland. Unfortunately I will still be studying at that time next year so time and finances will be an issue, but I will see how things go.

Count me in as very interested in attending. Landscape photography in Iceland sounds like the perfect emphasis! I'm already saving my pennies... ;-)

I'm just wondering, is this kind of like an informal GTG where the price is essentially about covering the costs or is it a more structured profit-making venture (which I have no problem as long as it's up front)? I've not done one of these so want to get a feel for what this thing is! Have long wanted to visit Iceland though so am very interested.

Can you help AF retirees? I know it's a hop, but the Status of Forces agreements vary and I was unsure if I would be able to use billeting.

He said let's go. The pictures were a good sell. He wants to know how is the fishing?

I'm very interested. I just checked fares from Minneapolis (direct flight) and it looks like $872 inc. tax and fees. I'd either stay a few extra days or continue on to Europe.

To me Iceland is about Borealis, snow and hot springs.... what about doing the workshop in February or March for optimal Borealis/snow/hot springs conditions? :)
