I've been lackadaisical. I tried a Hot shot but it's woeful, really, and needs advanced editing. So, no entry for me this week. :-(

Well I figure if I'm going to try and work out how we went, I might as well try and post...to save someone else from doing it. Having said that I'm not sure how to work out the average. Is it all scores (the 5 top ones) added together and divided by 5? Someone may be able to help with that calculation.

How's everyone travelling in hot and cold? I hate to say my score started of well but has dropped to a sad place. I'm sitting on 5.22 at 79 votes. I have 5 possitive comments though! :)

Oh! I don't quite know what to say other than I am excited! After a day in the wilderness I have just clawed my way back to 5.1. I hope the s*** hope the rest of you are doing better! .......I/we can and will do so much better next week!

I have nothing for lawn or still life yet :O help!
Wish it was advanced editing for the olympics, I do much better in those.

Take a macro shot of a blade of grass or photograph a vase with dead flowers.

I was at a wonderful place full of lawns last Friday (lawns as such are pretty scarce in Japan), but I couldn't for the life of me remember what the other Challenge was besides Still Life. Otherwise I would have taken more care in doing some lawn shots. I've got one that may be useable.

Ok, I have a shot for "Lawn" but I have a feeling there will be at least 20 other shots along the same lines and probably done better than mine.
I'm hoping to get something else but at least I can enter if I don't come up with anything better. I predict a 5.5 for the shot I have.
How is everyone else doing?

I am so pissed off that even though my image was validated (after a very, long 72 hours) SC don't feel it is warranted to put the 'This image is Validated' under my image. I know I have been hit with low votes and there is one specific comment that accuses me of breaking the rules...but because the score is above my Average (not by much!), they feel the comments received are not in the majority so they won't put it there. So I feel it could have been scoring a lot better than it is. I hope everyone else is doing okay to make up for my mistake. Next time I won't try to be so creative...this site doesn't seem to support that side of things as much as I thought!

My image is sitting on 4.9 and has been all week, so even with a bit of luck and a good tail wind, the best I could hope for would be a 5. Sorry guys, not my week! I hope five of you are doing better than this.

Now how long is it before the Still Life & Lawn challenges close? Just shooting now....still life!
