I'm not going to google "Paranormal"-- I'll ask you all first-

But this just happened--

I was sitting at my computer desk-- I have 2 empty cigarette packs, a lighter, and my wallet---

Everything just shifted like 5 inches to the right-- I swear to you all-- It was the freakiest damn thing I've seen In a long time!!

Everything On my desk moved-- no fans running, nothing-- Im freaked out!!

I looked over to my right, sensing something was moving, and everything jumped over!

I stated In a Long time-- Because Ive seen this B4-- With a Ouija Board experience I once had-- But NO board tonight-- It just happened-- Damn Im freaked out--

This isnt a joke thread-- It really just happened-- WOW

Simple, our planet is flying through the universe at billions of miles per hour and is always being exposed to different parts of space and a super string collided with the planet causing a brief moment of increased gravity at a right angle while dragging everything small several inches as earth passed through the string. Could also be magnetic and not gravity.

In all honesty though there probably isn't a way to know what it was after the fact. I know I've had things fly off shelves before but never got any answers as to why.

buzz - my family and I lived in a house that had things like that happen. Not saying I believe in the paranormal but I know for a fact things can move unexplained, voices unexplained, and more. I can go into detail but even to this day it gives me chills when I think about it.

did you drink some malt liquor today?

I think you didn't see what you think you saw. Are you particularly tired? There is much that can alter your perception. If you believe you are normally alert, are you predisposed to believing in phenomena that could be described as supernatural? If so, then you are more likely to believe something which undoubtedly has a more banal explanation. Since physical non-living objects don't simply move without cause, reason suggests you are either very tired, or very impressionable. ;-)

I once had a pop can slide about 2 feet across a table. Don't know what to tell you.

"Get.. out"

Seriously though, that is strange, but are you any where near major traffic? Road train passing by maybe?

Ball lightning and St. Elmos Fire (not the movie) were once considered to be super natural until it was studied. Just because unusual things occur doesn't make it a cause of ghosts or magic. I'm sure the first person to experience magnetism thought some demon had cursed their metal objects or it was evidence of a higher power.

No major traffic-- I have only seen this type of stuff once in my life and it was - Like I said B4 with that damn wegee board--

Im not insane, not high, not drunk-- But I have seen it b4, only on a Ojiau Board though--
It just freaked me out, but was kinda an andreliane rush at that same--

Objects should not move across my desk like that--

Maybe there is someone in the room with you. You just can't see em?
07/03/2008 11:31:28 PM · #17
Are you still at your desk? If so, move the stuff back to where they first were, then (if you can handle it) sit and wait to see if it happens again... or, leave the room for a bit and come back to see if they've moved.

did everything move at the same time in sync? and was this in your direct line of sight or off to your side?

Make sure you have a video camera running, because if you actually record this event, you will be on the cover of a few magazines next week, being the only person in history with hard incontrovertible evidence of the paranormal.

Sorry if I appeared to poke fun in my last comment. My wife has had several experiences, cans moving on a counter and plates flying out of a cupboard. She believes there is a ghost in the house, a little girl. She has made peace with it and says the ghost girl is happy now.

Well I think really anything is possible since we as a species is so new to self-awareness there is no way we can have a clue about what is going on most of the time. We are honestly newborns trying to figure out how to crawl.

I am glad your wife was able to make peace with whatever it was she experienced. :)

How are we new to self-awareness? Even if this is true -- and it's quite a claim to make, given the impossibility of producing evidence for it -- how does newness to being self-aware translate to complete ignorance of everything?

Isn't a more reasonable explanation than ghosts, aliens, or whatever, that buzzrock didn't really see what he think he saw? That he was tired, predisposed to believing in the paranormal, or something even more banal? If anyone with claims of experiences with the supernatural were 100% honest, I suspect you'll find very little actual evidence for anything paranormal in those circumstances -- which, by the way, is exactly the state of affairs with paranormal claims generally.

She watches every paranormal show there is on TV. Just loves Ghost Hunters. There is only one thing I've seen that I can't explain. While fishing on a jetty in Plymouth I saw with my brother a wave going out to sea. It was at least twice as tall as the waves coming in. At first I thought it was a whale or some outrageously large fish but it stretched for hundreds of feet, slowly going out to sea.
