Well this just goes to show you that it doesn't matter how long you spend setting up a shot or how well composed you think it is, how much you like the subject, the colour, the contrast, how much you think others will like it and get what you were trying to do. Never have to high of hopes for your work. No matter how hard I try to deliver a photograph that I think the masses will like it always falls flat. This time not only did I think I finally did a decent job of the shot and the edit it fails to live up to what I hoped for the shot, not that I was expecting to ribbon with it (something, that for me is a long way off I'm sure) I did hope it would get into the high 5's and maybe touch a low 6. I started out the morning with a whopper of a score of 4.0013 and I'm slowly climbing up but I fear that my shot will never reach my hopes.
OH well such is life and I will endeavor to do better.

Things just got better I have been picked as a favorite. BIG GRIN:)
My shot i already printed and hanging on my wall and I guess that's why we do photography in the first place. I must never forget that.

I dont wana jinx it as usual, mine was done more for giggles than anything, Im back to shooting for me and what I like instead of what I think will be liked by the masses this month... I usually score better that way :P

Nice comment from Judi (thanks Judi) - but my score is all over the place and generally way lower than I would like - but then I am greedy with my scores : )
This is almost as trying as my last FS entry 'Little Billy One Fang' where people seemed to keep slipping in at night and greasing the tree he ws sitting in so he would drop down two or three branches at a time . . then have to struggle all the way back up again . . and again . . poor thing was getting dizzy by the end of the challenge. |
