Here are some pics I took with my brand new Nikon D70! Just picked it up today.
These pics were taken with 70-300 f4-5.6 G lens, program mode. Overcast conditions and a bit foggy at times here in San Fran today. Let me know what you think.
Gull - Taken at Peir 17, levels, size adjust and saved for web.
Alone - Also taken at Pier 17, convert to B&W, levels, size adjust, save for web.
Coit Tower - Taken from the Embarcadero, no editing other than size adjust.
Trans America Tower - Also shot from The Embarcadero, crop, levels, save for web. You can see the moire issues on the top of the tower that you may have heard about with the D70.

hey wes! I like your gull and the "alone" shot is my favourite of the lot. good clarity and nice composition.
The latter two shots seem a bit underexposed..might just be the weather that you needed to compensate for, but the d70 sure looks like a sweet little camera! :)

I have to chip in on that - "Alone" is well composed and executed. Very nice shot. |

The last two are a bit dark for my taste. Did you try making them b/w? Might add a bit more contrast to them.
The other two are awesome.

hey, thanks for sharing your d70 shots. i got mine today (b and h photo website) ...battery charging; reading manual.
i cannot wait to get out there with it...so inspiring to see a sampling here.

Lovely shots. 'Alone' is certainly the winner. Hoping to take some quality photos myself now that I've just picked up a D70. Was told I had to wait until the end of April and 15 mins later it was in the shop for me!!! Yippee!

Tezza, your pictures are great.
But...did you edit the 3rd? Coit Tower ?
If you look around the edge of the tower there is a lot of pixelation..?

really a mug shot...my first d70 snap. not much to get excited over but had to share
