Hello DPC'ers!

I've been MIA from the site for a while...

My friend Mark is running for NY City Council in District 36. It's super BIG & GREAT news! He is a kickass dude with great grassroots-based politics. He has asked me to work on his website and I was wondering if any of you would like to offer up your Brooklyn shots to be used on the site.

If you are interested, please post your shots and the conditions you would like in order to give permission to use it. I'm big on cred so that is a given.

Thanks much!
Peace
Rooster!

p.s. Feel free to hit me up with a PM with any additonal info you may need.

Here is a bit about my friend Mark:
"I have a profound love for Central Brooklyn. It's people, it's strength, its limitless possibility. As a member of the city council, I will be the kind of public servant this community not only needs, but deserves. "Change" isn't just a campaign slogan; It can be a commitment that we as neighbors and New Yorkers make to one another. Better must come. Now."
I will fight for:

• Better schools for Central Brooklyn families
• Economic and business development without displacement
• Protection against predatory lending and foreclosure
• Local access to healthy, affordable food and quality health care

Mark Winston Griffith has been a community organizer, institution builder and social justice activist in Central Brooklyn for over twenty years. Born in Crown Heights and educated in public schools, Mark attended Brown University where he led a student movement that brought major reforms to the university. In the early nineties he co-founded the Central Brooklyn Federal Credit Union and Central Brooklyn Partnership. Together these institutions provided millions of dollars in loans to Central Brooklynites and were nationally recognized for tenant organizing campaigns, lending circles led by women on public assistance, and an award-winning youth leadership project.

Mark currently serves as the Senior Fellow for Economic Justice at the Drum Major Institute for Public Policy, where he fights for policies that strengthen working class communities and hold government and corporations accountable. An active journalist with a focus on politics and the economy, Mark has published dozens of articles in a range of publications, including the New York Times, the Nation, the New York Daily News, and has been featured on CNN, WYNC, WBAI and the News Hour with Jim Lehrer among many others broadcasts. His work has been recognized with major awards from the Rockefeller Foundation, the Open Society Institute, Columbia University, Crain's New York Business, and New York Magazine.
