Yes, dknourek noted several hours ago that someone was pulling our leg.

No. They pulled the foot,..... of an animal.

Meanwhile back in the bat cave...

I'm not surprised that the 6th ended up a hoax, when it was the first with mention of severed bones rather than disarticulated.

That, and the fact that the shoes are bouyant. Apparently a body that's been in water for some time will normally end up in about 10 pieces. My theory, beyond the protection and floatation, is that a shoe on the beach would catch your eye. An arm, tangled in kelp and driftwood, would easily pass as part of the natural flotsam unless something caused you to look closer. So maybe there HAVE been other pieces, just not noticed?

eta; Also, explosed parts would be likely to have been nibbled, making them even less recognisable.

Gee, I guess I shouldn't have asked Shannon to update the thread title, eh?

I'd change it, but by going back to five I'd hate to think we lost a foot. :-O

Well, you know what it's like climbing a hill... you gain 2 feet, lose one... that's all we did here!

But give it a couple days, I'm sure we'll be back to six again soon.

Well duh... time wounds all heels. I have the sneaker suspicion that this will turn out to be a result of the plane crash, and once all the DNA evidence is in the investigation will be hopping. Otherwise Vancouver may have an arch enemy! :-O

Has anyone checked the local bungy jumping businesses to see if there has been a spate of unreported accidents? :)

Has anyone seen Kiss the Girls?? Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd. Frozen locker of missing feet. Clearly if someone is copying a movie premise for their serial killings it would be an impressive feet.

So, the game is afoot.

If they can pull off a locker full of feet, that will be quite a feat.

YES, but only if it's a foot locker.

Yup, none match.

eta; Well, this one MIGHT. It appears to be a woman's New Balance, the same as the only other woman's foot, and found near the same area.

They HAVE to find the sole-lution to this soon, because eventually we're going to run out of bad puns!
11/12/2008 05:19:00 PM · #124
Eventually, they will find the string that laces this altogether and then they can tie it up.
11/12/2008 05:55:01 PM · #125
After much sole searching, i've come to the conclusion that these finds are interlaced.
