:) since I don't care about the score- are the comments nice at least? I don't want to go and make a blind trade u know... ;) :-D

ETA: my score is slowly going back down (it started at 3 worked up to a 7 worked down to a 5 and is now resting somewhere around 4.8 and 5.4 for periods of time...) *such diverse opinions in scores* :P :) I'm glad I didn't enter the shot I really really liked in this challenge- i'll post it when the challenge is over tho :) :-D

currently it is a 5.3 :P

My entry really isn't very interesting and I entered it on a whim so I'm not surprised it's tanking.

I learned not to enter the images I like the best :) :-D so then in turn I don't care how they do! :) *LOL* :) its rather nice :) 'sept... u sit around waiting for comments to see why your score bounces around everywhere... ;) :-D

I find that you have to enter them anyways. As an artist you've got to learn to let your babies go. Its really really tough but one thing I've learned is that no matter how good you think your shot is, you'll look back on it and say "I still like it but its maybe not as good as I thought it was". You'll also find that if you like it, you're probably not alone and those few comments that align with you make it all wortwhile.

well- for all the 7's and 8's i'm getting i must be getting a bunch of 1's too *LOL* = really wish some of those 1's would take the time to COMMENT I have a single comment now=
and while i may in part agree wtih you Citidel I also disagree... to have an image I like troll-voted on is heartbreaking and if it changes -my- view of my art and what I like and my style that's not a positive thing it makes me another sheep in the herd - the purpose is not to become like everyone else but to remain myself, doing my own style of art and find something that everyone else will like; to improve my art in my own way and own style but not to look at something that I LOVE and go "well now it sucks" - I would much rather enjoy a shot that I love and keep it semi private rather than have someone 'score' it a 1 because they're speed voting on the keyboard and not even bothering to leave comments; perhaps if some of those low voters started to actually put thought and consideration into their voting patterns and take the time to comment I would consider entering an image I LOVE into a challenge sometime- but I don't see that happening :) :-D I'd rather enter images that I think are 'good' to "ok" and reserve the ones I really enjoy to myself :) :-D

I've been away from entering and voting on challenges for a while. Right now my picture is sitting at 181 votes, but there where 289 submissions. Being the last day before the challenge ends, shouldn't I be sitting close to 250 votes? How come everyone that submits a photo doesn't vote on them all... or is it just mine :/

Oh well, I'm at 6.1873 at the moment and it has been a crazy ride so far. Started off last week in the high 6's for a day, then plummeted to 5.4, then have slowly mad it's way back up above a 6. Kind of crazy that it's been that drastic.

I must say I'm pretty let down by this score. I was thinking this was a 6.5+ score at LEAST, but I guess I didn't make it "contrasty" enough. I'll be curious to ask all of your opinions after the challenge is over and see what you think. All the comments except one loved it, but there was one that said there was no black points , and no white points...where it's a very dark and bright black and white image.

Apparently I have a lot to learn about High Contrast :D
