Disco baby! well, it was everywhere but I was a bit young for the club scene. Summer '78...I was 16 and trying to get the money to get my car on the road. My mom didn't drive and didn't see the need for a car at all so I was on my own in that regard. I had a car but never got it on the road (it would be 2 more years). Prolly spent the summer playing softball with my friends, perhaps golfing some and of course working. Possibly partying, but I can't admit to that now can I?

Was still practising how to make it through to the egg in my mother's womb when the chance comes.
The chance did come 2 years later and I was the only sucker who made it amongst a million others.

I was in college, getting a degree that would later prove to be somewhat useless, but I enjoyed the college part of the deal anyway. I had a puke-yellow Chevy Vega my dad sold to me for $1 (which I later sold back to him for $1, and which he then sold to my brother for $1 - talk about holding its value!). I drank too much beer, ate too much pizza. Music was Billy Joel's "Piano Man", Jackson Browne, The Cars - and all of it belonged to my roommate since she had way more spending money than I did. I'll not comment on whether or not I inhaled.... :)

I was teaching photography at UCSD, running an architectural photography business, driving all around the West in a VW van taking pictures, and (yes) inhaling. Someone tell Melethia I admit it :-)
