Due to physical limitations my ability to get out and about is restricted so I began working with images that I had already taken.Using advanced editing but without adding artificially created elements I came up with my own style of abstract/minimalist photography based art. My work is somewhat different and admittedly not everyone's cup of tea. You will never see this work in a challenge and for the most part it stays hidden away. I am a prior member that has returned with a new attitude and a new appreciation of the expertise available here at DPChallange.

So, with that now said, I would like to invite you to go to my web site "abstractions" and view the slide show of my selected works. Once on the site you will find an album located on the bottom area of the page. Simply click on "Watch Show" The show is accompanied by background music and is best enjoyed with your volume set to a mellow level.

Please reply back with your sincere opinions whether they be good, bad or indifferent. Your appraisals will be so appreciated.

Here is the site: //louisp.dotphoto.com

Some nice pieces in there. You might have art-gallery-worthy pieces if you find the right gallery.
As for the slideshow - please check your title, I think you have an extra space in front of the word Art (used to do a lot of proofreading). :)

I must not have an ounce of culture in my blood..because abstract art and abstract photgraphy has never grabbed me.
Your photo's are done very well...that is about all I can say. I find it hard to critique things that I don't understand.

:)

good job!

You have a great eye! Something about the title always bothered me so now I know what it was, a simple little extra space.

Thanks for all of your comments.

I have more feedback for the slideshow than the pictures (which were great!)

The intro took too long to get over with.. and I'd prefer the pictures to be shown quicker rather than the slow fade in style.. I like how long each one is shown for.. pictures again are beautiful.. but I think the slideshow can be tweaked to be a little faster with the non-photo related slides.

best of luck

I like the minimalist style of your photos. Something about simple and negative space appeals to me. They inspire me to look more the hidden details in pictures that are there in my pictures. I can certainly see them in a gallery somewhere. Excellent job IMHO.

I'm not crazy about the slide show presentation, though. I would like a simple slide show - cut and dry transitions. I want to examine your work as they are, not anticipate what is changing in them.

Great work!
