I assume you mean Euro vs Dollar.

Me, I'm supporting the underdog, the dollar, of course!

Well as the current CHAMPION OF EUROPE

I think we can go for the repeat!

GO GREECE!!!!!!

Portugal is is soooooooo happpy we are not in their qualifiying group...Im happy too because I cant stand watching ronaldo cry again.

If we get knocked out, I have this wierd feeling >Russia is going to do well this time around.
Even put a 100 euro bet that theyd win it at 39 to 1

Oh, I see what's going on now. You people have confused football with soccer!

It's easy to spot the difference; football is a contact sport played by big tough men. There's lots of hitting and smashing, and serious injuries are common. Soccer is a no-contact game played by little girls and sissy boys. There's lots of running around in circles, giggling, and the most serious injury is hurt feelings when a player falls down and gets her knee socks dirty.

I think the reason that some countries play soccer instead of football (besides the lack of real men and an abundance of little girls and sissies) is because the shape of the football confuses them so much.

Indeed it is...US football is the game you spend watching commercials for about 3 hours to 1 hour of playing time. It is so fascinating a sport that last I lived in the states the animated Bud vs Bud light bottles of beer match seen during any of the 1000 commercial breaks drew the same amount of interest by viewers.

Romania look good...! Kolasi, I'm placing that bet too...and on us of course...

Mango, despite Ronaldo's out of this world skills...(and tear ducts). My fav reamins the retired Rui Costa(!!!) as far Portugal is concerned...

I couldn't agree more, rui costa was a fabulous player, particularly when playing alongside batistuta at fiorentina! I'm not a huge fan of ronaldo myself and I'm certainly hoping the team doesn't pin its hopes on him either! Quaresma in my opinion is much more skillfull, and an absolute joy to watch, but he didn't get 42 goals this season, 8 of which were in the champions league! So, there's no denying it, ronaldo's going to be effective...how much we don't know!

Surely though, you can't be expecting another FLUKE against Portugal! Even the infamous spartans aren't a match for the portuguese men of war!!! ;)

Oh yeah american football.....why is the states has to invent its own different games like american foot ball and baseball? Is it cause they cant play as well in real sporting games?

Then the go around calling the title, the´World Series! while no one else plays.

Also, whats up with all that padding the football players wear? is it to make their shoulders look bigger than their fat stomachs?

Hehehe...that was the beauty of it, every team we sent packing thought exactly that and hope to be matched up with Greece..... until they saw Eusebio applauding our nationals as the lifted the trophy...

Well, if we learnt anything about playing you geeks, it was never to count our chickens until they hatch! Something I think you should take heed of! And anyway, who ever wins, lets hope they play the beautiful game and don't play with boring defensive tactics like the winners of the last competition (Ooops!!!). That's the problem you see, even winning it last time round, still nobody takes you seriously! You don't possess flair or brilliance, and you don't excite the imagination - you just simply don't play with the samba beat in your heart!!!

Maybe...but we possess a European Championship...Portugal...alas...does not.

Teams that really have the samba beat in their hearts win World titles...five of them.

; )

Hah, you played the same defensive game we did during the final, no samba there... Besides I find it funny that all the ´great´european countries critisized us for playing defensive football, while Italy has been doing that for years!

So , i dont know what is better...defensive soccer..or whining and crying soccer style?

I hope portugal does well, I´ll will feel like a proud professor when his student graduates from school! :))

You won't get a rise out of me with that comment fella - let the football do the talking! You can't keep beating us all the time...christ, we've beaten england in every major tournament we've met since 1986!!! Do you honestly believe that we'll continue that? averages son, just good old averages!!! My prediction - portugal to beat greece whenever we next bloody meet, and england to give us a right good old drubbing - i'ts about bloody time! COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!

In all seriousness, Portugal obviously look good. As defending champions, we'll be taken more seriously and things will be tougher.

Italy is in my opinion the favourite, despite Canavaro's bad luck...they have so many class defenders...

But it's all wiiide open... I will place a few outsider bets...
