It's not that far in miles, just a run straight across the north end of the city, but trust me, 16th Ave, (the TransCanada Highway) is horrid across there! It quits being a highway pretty much at the stadium and becomes 4 narrow lanes with stoplights every few feet and constant accesses to strip malls etc. So when you look at a map the direct route is slooowww and paaainful, especially in summer, and definitely NOT the best way!

re: saturday night - after the workshop we have a reservation at a restaurant very near the Uni. We have a section booked off for about 40 people in the lounge (will check if kids are ok if parents are with). No obligation to join if you don't want...should just be a fun eve to hang and have a few beverages and some grub. nothing planned for friday yet, but i'm sure we'll all find a place to meet up. Keep your eyes on the thread closer to the date as this seems to be the easiest way to communicate.

Ok all, finally done traveling around the US for work, so I'm checking in.

We are arriving in Calgary at 6:59pm on Friday the 4th. We have a rental car, so anyone coming in around that time can sure ride with us. We will be going to the University.

Just let me know if you need a ride.

Just to let you guys know, yesterday was 30 degrees celsius and today looks like its going to be another hot one. Weather this week will be generally pretty warm:

Actually, wehrmacher is supposed to arrive at 7:02pm that night, I was supposed to pick him up as well but if you are already going to be there maybe I could get you guys to give him a lift as you all are arriving at the same time?

EEEK! I have so much crap to accomplish before I leave - HA! I'm frantically trying to get my clients' their proofs and finish up all the little jobs I've still got open.

I'm so excited about the trip... Can't wait to meet you all and watch-learn-absorb!

I assume we'll take care of paying for the Monday excursion once we have arrived? I'm sure the cost will depend on how many actually participate. I'm still game for "whatever" (so watch out!)! ROFLMAO

Glad to hear that the weather is warm and that the forecast is similar for the foreseeable future. I've only been to Alberta once during the summer (years ago), but it was further south.

I hope everyone has a safe trip! I'll be online through Thursday before I leave.

:) Hard work planning for sure!! Agreed.. but we are more than happy to host it this year and give you and Nasti a break.. Its going to be great to have everyone together.. and I can't wait for my hug Gary!!! :) :) :)
