Just got an email, reads the following (phone number and email taken out, just in case :)):

Hello,

My name is Mr. Gilbert Presley, an Agent with ROYAL CLOTHING NETWORK, an about to be launched clothingline in the UK.

I had the rare privilege of view your portfolio/profile on portfolios.com and I thought I could seek your interest for a 14 day Photography contract in the UK.

If yes, then email me back on my email on EMAIL TAKEN OUT and I will fill you in on the details.

Regards,
Gilbert.
PHONE TAKEN OUT

Really guessing its a scam, but want all your thoughts, and to pass on the warning just in case. Also wierd to me because I am the furthest thing away from a fashion photographer

1. Get a new, disposable e-mail address

2. Answer the guy by mail with a bogus name, show interest and ask about the details.

3. He lets you know that you merely need to transfer $431 to him via Western Union so that he can [some lame story] and then you'll be paid thousands plus traveling expenses for that photography job.

4. Get some inspiration from //www.419eater.com and come up with a fun story to scam the scammer.

5. Share the fun with the community.

Royal Clothing Network is at it again! This time however they have moved onto clothing designers. They have certainly stepped up from just the emails. They have created there own website, thankfully with enough circuitous information to raise an eyebrow.

So tell your clothing designers now to keep an eye out!

Just to let everyone know...... This IS a scam, don't be fooled, Royal Clothing Network tries to suck you in but telling you that you can use any Lawyer you want from the UK to obtain the Work Visa, and Photography Liscence you require to hold a job in the UK. However what they don't tell you is that they want you to prove to them that you have the Visa etc by sending them a copy, which they no doubt will use to steal your identity or to sell the work visa in order to make money.
There are so many unscrupulous people out there trying to pray on people.... so don't be sucked into any scams check everything out thoroughly before you make any moves, and think about every option that a scam artist may have. DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE COMPUTER OR TELEPHONE!!!!!!!! PROTECT YOURSELF!!!!
