hi everybody,
I've got a REALLY BIG PROBLEM, and I hope anybody can help....it's urgent...
bought the 450 D yesterday, had a portrait job today, and now, as I wanted to make contact sheets in photoshop CS3, I get the message "could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document" HEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!! PLEEEEEASE!!! this can't be!!!!!! I used the 20D before, and the files were also called CR2, when you've chosen the raw-mode, as I've done also today with the 450 D.

WHAT CAN I DO? please, can anybody tell me? I promised to send her the photos in the evening....

thanks in advance...

Are you running the latest version of Camera Raw in CS3? I am still running CS2 but it may be that your images need to be converted before a contact sheet can be made? I don't know, just trying to help. I know when I got my 30D, the Camera Raw plugin did not recognize the CR2 format, so I just had to download the latest version and that helped me. Hope this helps

If all else fails, download a 30 day trial version of adobe lightroom 2 that will run them fine and you can, at least, get the job done

hey, thanks a lot. I called the adobe-hotline in my despair, you were right, they said I have to download a raw-update. so hopefully it works then, have another job in three hours. we'll see. ;-)

thanks!

You can also do what I have been doing with my 450D because Aperture has not been updated for the 450D. Download the DNG converter from Adobe. Until Aperture is updated my work flow changed, now I convert to DNG then import into Aperture.

In the worst case, you can always use Digital Photo Pro that comes on the CD shipped with your camera to convert those RAWs. Its not the most user friendly software, but the output quality is fantastic.

Hello

I seem to have the same problem here where I have a Canon 450D slr and have Photoshop CS3. I cant seem to read my RAW files. Can someone please advise me as to what update version is compatible with CS3. I have downloaded version 5.2 but this has not helped.

Thanks

Nuria
