Yes, the SI definition of volt is pretty universal.

Stay away from high tension lines, you will get shocked...to death.

I thought that that was 10kV per inch, not 1kV.

Unless I misunderstood the instructor in my Safety and Training class, and my industry certification twords being an Entertainment Certified Electrician and Rigging Gaffer.....maybe.

Yes, you did.

Going to look it up...I'll be back to bask in my glorious knowledge from actually paying attention in school, or kneel before the king and send deserving accolades with the occasional victory song around some future camp fire.

//www.cirris.com/testing/voltage/arc.html

looks like the lowest voltage to cross an inch is about 7000V

while we're on electricity.... One wrap of vinyl electrical tape is good to insulate 600 volts.

When a pug barks, you can see their anus push outwards and then retract - thus if they had to poop, they could essentially shoot poop at anyone behind them.

Platypus don't have nipples, instead secreting the milk through the skin along each side of the belly.

Actually this behavour is common in humans as well. Some prisons require inmates to bend over and cough strongly to dislodge anything they may have, tried to stash. I guess it beats, other methods.

A pug or a platypus?

You shouldn't go to the bathroom after dicing habanero peppers unless you wash your hands first.

Platypuses have very soft fur. I avoid touching dogs as much as I can; I've only touched a platypus once when I was very young.

Platypuses and echidnas, like reptiles and birds, also have only one outlet for eggs and and everything else (obviously, eggs from the female..) ;-) Chloaca.

What about this one: 'Donkeys kill more people every year than sharks'- If Eeyore is an example then it may just be true.

True. I was born with blue eyes but they changed to green. It's to do with melanin being produced as the child grows.

Lost in Translation....

the word 'empathy' is taken from the greek word empatheia

However in Greek it means 'a loathing, a great hatred toward someone'
