for a client who asked me to take pics of his son

I like the colors and saturation of the first one. If it was me I would lose the motion blur unless they asked for something like it. I may also use the healing brush on the tracks on the background. Could you show the client and them have them pick the one they like?

i was just shooting at the game, and a guy asked for my card and that if i could take pics of his son and put them on my website... hence the watermarks...he hasnt contacted me, however the images have a couple views now, so he must hake stopped to look. i just got the hits so im waiting for the call or email... you can see the rest of the images at //www.roblewisphoto.com i didnt post them all to save bandwidth as i am using my friends hosting and dont want to kill it.... feel free to go have a look feedback is amazing, it can boost self esteem by astronomical numbers =]

I prefer the last one with maybe a slight color/contrast boost added. The other two look a little sloppy to me editing wise at least at the sizes you posted. For example, the second one has a strange glow around it's subject that isn't consistent nor artistically refined (i.e. too harsh). That said, I do like the general direction you went with the second one that is a flash + ambient balance style/look.

well i wanted to get these up as soon as possible, i wanted to have them up by the time he went home and checked...as i know if you go on website and it desnt have the pics up you are likely not to revisit again, especially, no offence "older" people as they tend to be, but not exclusively, less patient when it comes to things like this on the internet.

oh and the zzoom is kinda nessecary it takes a static photo and makes it a little more appealing... if you have anyother suggestions, i thought about slective desaturation too... might add a sentimental effect that the parent might be looking for

See if you can bring some sky details into #1 and it would be a winner.

a fine idea... however that would be investing a little too much work for a photo that has not seen intrst from any buyer... these will have to be redone as i didnt save an un watermarked file to save HD space im down to 2gb left but, it was done verry easily... auto levels
blur
clip mask
adjust

I'm a fan of the first one... I'd vote for a sky replacement as well though.

I like the second one better, the first one seems blown out to me and the last one seems rather dull

I would pick #2 for the colors ... but the halo around him ruins the effect. #1 is just totally wrong. Colors just don't look like that in real life. Dirt doesn't glow in the dark. Grass isn't that shiney green.

So I pick #3 as the most natural of the three.
